We are a small operation…( Just Maxine Johnson and Ken)… hence we have the ability to control the quality of each and every one of our summer masterpieces. (or that’s the plan anyway!)
Sunrise Greenhouses, founded by Ken Lander of Pugwash, N.S., is a highly specialized, bare bones operation that has focused on plants of exceptional performance. Ken & Sunrise actively support The Communities in Bloom program in the Village of Pugwash.
The Village of Pugwash is an active participant in the Communities in Bloom Program (5 Blooms in the 2007 provincial edition. The village is competing again in 2013.) Pugwash also competed in the 2008 National level of CIB.
The village is also home to the Pugwash Peace Exchange.
